Spring Travel Idea – Bentonville | Destino de Primavera – Vámonos para Bentonville

When it came to planning my spring travel, I used to automatically think theme parks, don’t judge me, because when you grow up out of the United States, the media tends to only promote these places, so obviously when I came to live here, those destinations were always on my mind as a first option. Luckily for me, blogging came to my life and my travel game changed. Recently I visited the beautiful Bentonville.
The people at Bentonvile are super friendly and so proud and happy to be living there. Bentonville is a city that is growing fast and brings a lot of job opportunities. If you are planning your spring vacation, you may want to consider a different and unique place like Bentonville. The Walmart headquarters is located here in Bentonville – the location of the first Walmart stores. The company was founded by Sam Walton. The Walton family retains ownership of the stores to this day with several of the family members considered to be some of the richest people in the world.

Where to stay: 21c Museum Hotel, located on the northeast corner of the Bentonville town square. This hotel is unique and just amazing, a 104-room boutique hotel, contemporary art museum, cultural civic center, and home to The Hive restaurant.

Bentonville Film Festival, is the new thing for the good, unique, inclusive films seekers. Founded by Academy Award Winner® Geena Davis and festival co-founder Trevor Drinkwater in 2015, BFF’s mission is to champion women and diverse voices in media. BFF is a research based and commercial focused platform that proactively supports diverse storytellers.  The Festival will take place this May 3rd -8th and is designed to inspire action and to bring together decision makers and content creators with the goal of ensuring media represents the world we live in which is 51% women and very diverse. BFF strives to work with content creators to inspire young minds because if they can see it they can be it.
Crystal Bridges, is a another great destination, the museum explores the unfolding history of America by collecting and exhibiting outstanding works of art that illuminate our artistic heritage and enrich our understanding and appreciation of our nation and ourselves. With 120 acres of native Ozark forest, Crystal Bridges’ grounds invite visitors to enjoy the natural environment as a continuation of their museum experience. The Museum’s distinctive architecture immerses visitors in the landscape, while three miles of nature trails encourage exploration and reflection.

If you are in Bentonville don’t forget to stop by for a cocktail (uff what a cocktail) or to eat at the PressRoom, the food is just delicious. The atmosphere and platings is super modern, but relaxed at the same time. The service and the chefs are friendly and helpful.

Cuando se trataba de planear mis vacaciones de primavera, lo único que tenia en mente era los parques temáticos, pero no me juzguen, pues cuando vives en algún país de Latino America los medios de prensa tienden a promocionar estos lugares como único destino. Cuando vine a vivir a Estados Unidos estos parques eran mi principal opciones cuando planeaba mis vacaciones, pero por suerte cuando comencé a bloguear todo cambio, no solo por los lugares que he visitado, pero por lo que leo en los blogs de otras amigas. Una de las sorpresas recientes fue mi visita a Bentonville.

La gente en Bentonvile son super amables y se notan muy feliz de vivir allí.  Bentonville es una ciudad que está creciendo rápidamente y en donde hay muchas oportunidades de negocio y trabajo.  Si estas planeando tus vacaciones de primavera es posible que desees considerar un lugar diferente como Bentonville sede de Walmart – en donde esta la primera tienda- la compañía fue fundada por Sam Walton. La familia Walton conserva la propiedad de las tiendas hasta el día de hoy con varios de los miembros de la familia, los cuales se consideran algunas de las personas más ricas del mundo.

Dónde alojarse: 21c Museum Hotel, situado en la esquina noreste de la plaza del pueblo de Bentonville. BFF se esfuerza por trabajar con los creadores de contenido para inspirar a las mentes jóvenes.

Crystal Bridges, es un otro gran destino, el museo explora la historia de América mediante la recopilación y exposición de obras de arte excepcionales que iluminan nuestro patrimonio artístico y enriquecen nuestra comprensión y apreciación de nuestra nación y de nosotros mismos. Con 120 acres de bosque nativo, Crystal Bridges invitan a disfrutar del entorno natural como una continuación de la experiencia en el museo. La arquitectura distintiva del Museo sumerge al visitante en el paisaje, mientras que tres millas de senderos naturales estimulan la exploración y la reflexión.

Si te encuentras en Bentonville no te olvides de pasar por un cóctel (deliciosos) o para comer en PressRoom, la comida es simplemente deliciosa, con un ambiente moderno pero relajado con un servicio muy amable. .
