The split ends are caused by abuse of the hair with the brush, the comb or other tools like blowers and flat iron.

Unfortunately There is no way to mend or repair split ends or damaged hair, only resort is to remove them completely and taking the proper precautions to prevent them from returning.
There are a couple of different types of split ends.

•The generic end split

•Splits occurring multiple times up the same strand of hair

•A split occurring in the middle of the hair strand that will appear as a hole if the strand is bunched up

•Single strand knots which occur most often in dry, curly hair

here are two different chart of Split Ends ( from google image)

Here are some recommendations to avoid Split ends
1 – If the ends are battered ideally cut them, so that the hair appear healthier and start taking care of new ends. The ends require frequent cuts even when healthy.

8 –  Products claiming to repair your hair, they do not work, they simply glue your ends together for a short period of time(if you are looking for a fast temporary fix those products are a good option.)
9 – If your hair is very dry, consider a leave-in conditioner.

  1. Hello!!I would like to ask you a question:
My hair has been processed few times, last year I had a blonde on, my natural hair color is dark brown(almost black), and after that my hair lost completely all my curls!!

I been devastated, I’ve tried so many things, cut it very short, done some natural mask at home and nothing!! I have no more curly hair 🙁
By the way, I painted my hair my natural color, no more coloring!! Any suggestions how can I build them back up and also to encourage growth?

    Thank you so much!!
