There is no better way to have healthy hair and skin than through food, choosing foods and ingredients that nourish it from the inside out.
This salad is full of great taste and a pleasant twist to a traditional nopal salad. Ingredients:
Nopal, is basically 90 to 92% water and contains minerals like calcium and potassium in addition to silica, sodium and small amounts of iron, aluminum, and magnesium, among some others (This cactus is considered as a good source of calcium, since in 100g there are about 80 milligrams of this mineral). Rich in fiber, vitamins (A, B, B2, C and K), riboflavin, vitamin B6, chlorophyll and protein.
Pineapple: good source of vitamin C, good source of fiber Cilantro: Good source of fiber, rich in magnesium and iron Green Onions: loaded with vitamin C and vitamin A, and very strong antioxidant properties, Garlic: could end your hair loss problems because of its high levels of allicin, a sulfur compound similar to that found in onions Almond: Vitamin E, Omega 6 fatty acids and calcium. Olive Oil:this mazing fatty acid will nourish and add shine to your hair from the inside out Vinegar: helps fight against food cravings, skin conditions from eczema to aging brown spots. Salt: not to much, there is nothing healthy about salt 🙂 Pepper
Let it get green:
Wash and cut the nopal whichever side you like, I like very small pieces, boiled for about 8 min (or till a firm texture) rinse and mix with chopped green onions, cilantro, roasted almond and chopped pineapple.
For the dressing, add to a blender: Olive oil, cilantro, garlic, vinegar, salt and pepper for a smooth consistency. Mix with the salad, decorate, serve and enjoy.

Good luck getting that ticket home! I’m looking forward to your cookbook!
