It is amazing to just get in the shower, wash my hair, and go, but at the same time it is amazing how creative and versatile I can be when it comes to my hair.

Last week, I straightened my hair and put into practice the amazing tips the Beauty Concierge gave me. Here they are, in case you are planning not to play by the rules this holiday season when it comes to your hair:

• Start with clean hair. Wash, detangle, and deep-condition your hair to prepare it for the straightening process. No matter how gentle you are, or whether you do it at home or use a professional, straightening is tough on hair. Taking care of it before the process is a good idea to prevent damage. Try Camille Rose Algae Deep Conditioner. This conditioner is great to stop hair from shedding and strengthen the hair before and after straightening.

• Always use a straightening cream, balm, gel, or lotion throughout the hair. This is crucial to smooth and protect your hair against heat damage. Make sure you don’t overuse this product, and remember that you want your hair to be smooth and shiny but not limp. The Target Beauty Concierge said these products help minimize heat damage, but they are not 100% effective, so minimize the use of hot tools on your hair.

• Don’t rush-dry curly hair. I know it may seem like a great idea to just blow your hair out to remove excess water, but curly-haired girls can’t pull this off without getting frizzy hair. Don’t worry about your hair being prefect. The flat iron will finish the job, but make sure your hair is completely dry before use.

• Use a comb to help you with the straightening process. With a flat iron that must heat to at least 400 degrees Fahrenheit, have a ceramic plate rather than a steel plate because a steel plate can pull and tear hair. There is no way you will be able to straighten curly hair without heat. Pull out a section of hair using a fine-tooth comb with one hand, while smoothing a flat iron along that section with the other hand. Always start at the roots of the hair and move toward the end; repeat after all your hair is complete.

• Enjoy your straight hair and keep yourself away from humid places. You know what I mean….

Este año, inspírate para jugar por las reglas Y romper las reglas con tu maquillaje y peinado, elige jugar con las reglas clásicas en cuanto a maquillaje y peinados Y rompe las reglas y convencionalismos con un maquillaje o peinado que te hagan destacar, se atrevida e inesperada.

La semana pasada me alise el cabello y puse en práctica los consejos que me dio la consejera de belleza de Target, y si estas pensado en llevar este estilo para las fiestas, acá te los dejo:

• Comienza con un cabello limpio. Lava y desenreda bien el cabello, luego usa una tratamiento profundo para preparar tu cabello para el proceso de alisado. No importa que tan cuidadosa seas, si vas o no a un profesional, el proceso de alisar el cabello puede poner mucho estrés en el, así que es buena idea el tomar medidas de precaución extras.  Camille Rose Algae Deep Conditioner, es un tratamiento profundo que ayuda a fortalecer el cabello antes y después de usar herramientas de calor.
• Siempre usar una crema, bálsamo, gel, loción o aceites sin enjuague con protección de calor. Esto es crucial para suavizar y proteger el cabello contra el daño por el calor. Estos productos ayudan a reducir al mínimo el daño por calor, pero no son 100% precisos, por lo tanto no pienses que aunque lo uses puedes abusar de las herramientas de calor- nos dice la consejera de belleza de Target.
• No te apresures al secado. Aveces parece una buena idea para secar el cabello mas rápido el apresurar el secado, pero para las que tenemos el cabello rizado esto no es muy buena idea ya que da como resultado un cabello con mucho frizz. No te preocupes que el secado con el secador este perfecto (pero si bien seco) la plancha terminara de hacer el trabajo.
• El uso de un peine pequeño y una plancha de por lo menos a 400 grados Fahrenheit, con placa de cerámica en lugar de una placa de acero (estas rompen el cabello) para hacer el proceso mas fácil. No hay forma de lograr un cabello liso duradero sin calor. Toma una sección pequeña de cabello con el peine de dientes pequeño en una mano, mientras que suavemente pasas la plancha con la otra mano, desde la raíz hasta las puntas, repetir después el mismo proceso en todo el cabello.  
• Disfruta de tu cabello lacio y mantente alejada de los lugares húmedos, jejeje ….
