I want moisture that lasts while traveling!! is every curly girl dreams, but can it be achieved? I think it can, it is all about being consistent with your hair care routine before and during your trip. The problem comes when you travel to a humid city or country. I was in New York City for a few days last week and this time, keeping my hair moisturized was a challenge.

Natural hair has it own personality and feeling, after a few hours in New York, my hair started to feel rough and the shrinkage was crazy. I have a few tips for you to keep that hair moisturized while traveling. To be honest with you, I didn’t actually pay much attention to it. I was in New York City, in Summer time, staying in the perfect hotel location at the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Herald Square, conveniently located with easy access to key area attractions, dining and a LOT of shopping options. The  best value while traveling: perfect size room with king size bed,  free high-speed Internet access, direct Tv and continental breakfast included. No time to worry about my big curly hair 🙂

Tips to have moisture that lasts:

• Make sure to deep condition your hair a few days before your trip.
• Check the climate, this will help you determine the style and products you will need.
• If you are traveling to a humid city or country, use products with more consistency like gels or a mix of your curl defining cream with gel to give your hair more weight, keeping it down for a longer period of time.
• If possible, hydrate your hair at bed time to wake up with moisturized hair. Try oils or a leave-in conditioner.
• Carry products that you know work for you, this is not the time to try new products.
• Pack a hat, cap, hair bands, and accessories that help you cover a bad hair day.

Quiero cabello hidratado que perdure fuera de casa!! es el sueño de toda chica de cabello rizado, pero ¿se puede lograr? Yo creo que sí, se trata de ser coherente en tu rutina antes y durante tu viaje. El problema viene cuando andas de viaje a una ciudad o país con mucha humedad. Yo estaba en New York City por unos días la semana pasada y esta vez el mantener mi cabello hidratado fue todo un reto.

El cabello natural tiene personalidad propia y después de unas horas en Nueva York, mi cabello comenzó a sentirse áspero y a encogerse como loco. Aca te dare uno tips para mantener el cabello hidratado en un clima húmedo. Para ser honesta con ustedes, no le preste mucha atención a mi cabello, y es que estaba en la ciudad de Nueva York, en verano y en un hotel con una ubicación perfecta “hotel BEST WESTERN PREMIER Herald Square”, con fácil acceso a atracciones, bares, restaurantes y muchas opciones de compras. El mejor valor por tu dinero con acceso gratuito a Internet de alta velocidad, Direct TV y desayuno continental incluido. Sin tiempo para pensar en mi cabello. 

Consejos para mantener tu cabello hidratado cuando viajas:

• Aplica un tratamiento profundo antes de tu viaje.
• Asegurate de chequear el clima de tu destino para saber que productos llevaras contigo.
• Si viajas a una ciudad o país de alta humedad, utiliza un producto con más consistencia como geles, o mezcla tu crema definidora de rizos con un poco de gel para darle peso a tu cabello.
• De ser posible, hidrata tu cabello antes de dormir para que amanezcas con el cabello en forma en la mañana. Puedes usar aceites or crema sin enjuage.
• Lleva productos que sabes que te funcionan, este no es el momento de tratar nuevos productos.
• Empaca sombreros, gorras, bandas para el cabello y accesorios que te ayuden a cubrir un cabello que no es de tu agrado.
