Homemade highlight | Como hacerte mechas en casa

Some of you have asked me about my new hair color, and here it is; my homemade highlight, the products and technique I used. But first, I must say two things: one, if you have the opportunity to go to a stylist, do so. Two, I used the technique I learned when Antonio did my hair (read more here).

On my dry hair, I painted some curls here and there where I wanted to add some light, as I learned, I only highlight one side of the curl, this means that I only apply the bleach on the side that you actually see of the hair. It is very important that you apply the bleach and not forget about it, you actually have to be paying attention and check your hair constantly and rinse it out when you have the color you desire. 

I used Bigen Powder bleach and cream developer 20 volume. You will have to follow the instructions to mix the products according to the product recommendation.

Once you have your desired color, rinse well with water, and wash your hair with shampoo. Then on towel dry hair (do not detangle) apply Bigen semi-permanent hair color vivid shade, leave it on for 30 minutes, rinse with water (do not shampoo), detangle, and style your hair as usual. I used the color light cognac. Algunas de ustedes me han preguntado acerca de mi nuevo color de pelo, y aquí está como yo me hago  mechas en casa, los productos que he utilizado y la técnica utilizada. Pero primero tengo que decirles dos cosas: una, si tienes la oportunidad de ir a un estilista, hazlo. Dos, yo utilice la técnica que aprendi de  Antonio (leer más aquí). En el cabello seco, pinté algunos rizos aquí y allá donde quería añadir un poco de luz, como aprendi de Antonio, solo pinte mis rizos de un lado, lo que significa que no aplique el descolorante en la hebra completa sino en la parte de adelante que es la que se ve. Es muy importante que no vallas a aplicar el descolorante y lo dejes solo o te olvides de el, tienes que estar constantemente chequeando hasta que se descolore al nivel que deseas.  Use el polvo para decolorar y la crema/developer en el volumen 20 de la marca Bigen, deberas de seguir muy bien las instrucciones del producto para mezclar de acuerdo a sus recomendaciones. Una vez que tengas el color de mechas /luces /rayitos deseado, enjuaga bien con agua, y lavar el cabello con champú. Luego secar con una toalla de microfibra (si no tienes, con una playera o t-shirt) favor de no desenredar,- el color sale mejor aplicado en el cabello luego del champú – aplica Bigen semipermanente vivid color en todo el cabello, dejar actuar durante 30 minutos, enjuagar con agua (no champú), desenredar y peinar como de costumbre. He utilizado el color light cognac. Estoy totalmente enamorada de estos colores semi-permanentes chicas porque no sólo me deja el cabello super suave y brillante, pero da a mis canas una hermosa tonalidad. Bigen color semi-permanente no contiene amoniaco ni peróxido, con una fórmula rica en aceite para dar mejores resultados.
