The holidays are not over yet | Celebración del día de los reyes

The holidays are not over yet, that’s right, because if you are a latina, no matter which part of the world life takes you, after New Year’s celebration we still have one of most important holiday celebration “Three kings day”. Raising bilingual kids is more than speaking two languages, it also means that they are bi-cultural, so keeping the tradition at home is very important. It is not always a very easy thing do do, but it is all worth it, trust me on this. The holidays are not over yet until we celebrate three kings day, and my daughters look forward to this day and they feel very proud to share this important celebration with their friends.

When my daughters were little, buying presents for them was simple: a doll, a kitchen set, and I was done. As they grow older and their preferences change, I like to give them presents that they really enjoy. Luckily for me they are into baking, lol how lucky can I be? So I pretty much buy them stuff for my kitchen and pretend that it is for them shhhhhh. This year I went to JCPenny  to make my Día de Los Reyes celebration even more magical, and more affordable with amazing deals and savings. 

I went straight to the kitchen department and my first option was a beautiful KitchenAid Gourmet 3-pc. Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls and Cooks 5-pc. Nonstick Bakeware Set for my baking princess so they can mix their dough in a safe and durable way.  Getting my princess what they want for Día de lo Reyes was pretty easy and since I went to JCPenney after christmas. The savings were amazing and I was able to by myself a few stuff as well. Las fiestas no han terminado todavía,  porque si eres latina no importa en que parte del mundo te haya tocado vivir, después de las festividades del Año Nuevo nos toca celebrar un día muy importante  “El Día de los Reyes”. Educar a niños bilingües va mucho mas allá de que hablen dos idiomas, significa que también son bi-culturales y que entienden y disfrutan ambas culturas, por eso es tan importante el seguir las tradiciones, y yo me tomo esto muy en serio en la crianza de mis hijas. No siempre es una tarea fácil, pero vale la pena, de verdad que si. Así que las fiestas no han terminado todavía, hasta que celebramos el Día de los Reyes y mis hijas esperan este día con mucha emoción y se sienten muy orgullosas de compartir esta importante celebración con sus amigas.

Cuando mis hijas eran pequeñas comprar regalos era simple: una muñeca, un set de cocina y listo, pero a medida que crecen y sus preferencias cambian, me gusta darle presentes que ellas realmente disfruten. Por suerte para mí, ahora se creen reposteras y se la pasan en la cocina inventando. Así que compro cosas que necesito para mi cocina y les digo que son para ellas y todos felices, jajjajjaj . Este año fui a JCPenney para hacer mi celebración de Día de Los Reyes aún más mágica, y más asequible con ofertas y ahorros que siempre tienen.

Fui directamente al departamento de cocina y mi primera opción fue un hermoso set de KitchenAid Gourmet de 3-pc. en Acero inoxidable y un set de hornear de 5 piezas de la marca Cooks para que hagan bizcochos y galletas a gusto.
