Amazon Brought Lockers to Coachella and it was Amazo…ing

If you have followed me for a minute you already know that I basically buy everything at Amazon and the reasons are simple and clear: It’s easy, fast and has the best prices.

So, this year I was able to go to Coachella for the first time and believe me that when I say, “the stress was over the top,” it’s an understatement. Spending three days in the desert for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival means a lot of planning and packing. Sunblock, phone charger, bandana etc., oops!! you forgot something…

Forgetting things like aspirin or sunscreen in the past meant that you had to leave the venue or live with a sunburn. This year, honoring my first time (I like to think so as a number one fan) Amazon had us covered with Amazon Lockers.

For the first time ever, Amazon offered the ability to ship festival essentials directly to an Amazon Locker inside the festival grounds of the 2019 Coachella Music and Arts Festival (April 12-14 and April 19-21). We were able to shop from a curated Amazon.com/Coachella storefront at the festival and we visited an Amazon-branded booth inside the festival gates to pick up the package from an Amazon Locker.

How to use it?

• Visit amazon.com/Coachella (from your desktop or mobile phone) to shop the Amazon.com curated storefront for Coachella. Add item/s to your cart and go to checkout.
• Order pre-Festival (home or Amazon Locker): If you’re shipping to your home, you can simply checkout as you normally would. But if you want to experience an Amazon Locker before the festival during checkout, add an Amazon Locker as your shipping address.
• Then, finish placing your order.
• Once your package is ready for pickup, whether at an Amazon Locker near your home or at the festival, you’ll receive an e-mail along with a barcode that you’ll use to remove your package from its designated slot.

How does it work?

• I went to Amazon.com/Coachella and picked my items. Orders placed by Noon PT on festival days (April 12-14 and April 19-21) received same-day delivery at no additional cost. All packages had to be picked up before each festival weekend ends. Only Coachella pass holders had access to the Amazon Lockers located within festival grounds.
• I got a code on my e-mail and a locker number.
• I walked to the Amazon Locker, found my locker number, entered my code and Voila.

My Experience?

Attending Coachella, especially with a teen is stressful -I am not gonna lie. When I decided to go, I was afraid that I didn’t plan well and having Amazon Locker gave me peace of mind and something less to worry about.

It was easy and at the same great price that I am used to as Amazon Prime shopper (free!).

Amazon Lockers are a self-service, convenient, and secure delivery option, and are available at no additional costs.
